Weekend Warrior

Overview[]

Weekend Warrior is a series of tournaments that uses variations on the standard constructed and draft formats. They run every weekend beginning Thursday at 12:00 PM PST and ending Sunday and 12:00 AM PST. They typically use a four round structure rather than the 2-loss structure used in the Constructed and Draft tournaments.

Constructed Formats[]

The following formats have all been a featured as Weekend Warrior events in the past. Phantom events allow players to build decks with cards that are not in their collection.

4-Faction Highlander: Decks can only include one copy of each card. Decks can include cards from all four factions.
20 Card Constructed: Decks must contain exactly 20 cards.
3-Faction Standard: Decks may contain up to three factions.
No-limit constructed: Decks may contain any number of each card. (phantom)
Mono-faction constructed: Decks may contain cards from only one faction.
Forgemaster constructed: Standard decks are legal. (phantom)
Pre-con battle: Players choose from a set of pre-constructed decks to play in the event. The decks are usually from a set of newly released cards.
Unlegendary Constructed: Decks may only contain cards of rarity heroic and below.
Unheroic Constructed: Decks may only contain cards of rarity rare and below.
Limited Set Constructed: Decks may only contain cards from more recent sets (varies from event to event).

Draft Formats[]

The following formats have all been a featured as Weekend Warrior events in the past. All formats are phantom (players don't keep the cards they draft) unless stated otherwise.

Mono-Faction Draft: Players choose one of the four factions before the draft begins. Packs contain only cards from the chosen faction.
Alpha + Rise Draft: Packs contain cards only from sets 1 and 2.
High-Rarity Draft: Each six card packs contains only legendary cards. Each other pack contains only heroic cards.
4-Faction Draft: All packs contain cards from all four factions.
Legendary Only Draft: All packs contain only legendary cards.
Guaranteed Legendary Draft: The first pack contains six legendary cards to choose from. The rest of the draft uses the current draft pool and the standard format. Players keep the cards they draft.
